Ok, here's an idea...

Looking for like-minded terrestrials=))
To create an open-source permanent psychedelic base.=)

- Get a land in a western part of the US. For cost's and weather sake=) In those areas you can easily find off-the grid land for as low as $200/acre(from full blown desert with nobody around for miles to the forest jungle). Round Mountain in Shasta, CA comes to mind...=)) The off-grid properties tend to be the cheapest(and eco friendly - not feeding the death spiral of a power grid). Furthermore it can be used by number of people as a year-round residence of a kind. As it will be self sufficient in terms of utilities (solar, wind, WVO etc) and rent to worry about .

- So if, lets say, get a decent peace of land around 10 acres (prices from 1.5K and up) , which is plentiful to not disturb nor be disturbed=))

- As you dont have to rent place every time you would have more resources/ energy to concentrate on a grow of a venue(not taking down and starting from scratch again). Funds raised from an event would mostly go towards the development of new parties and to directly benefit the community (as Boom Fest did).

- Incorporating a non-profit organization to protect yourself from personal liability and make easier to deal with authorities. And as a demonstration of a good will. A nonprofit organization is an organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals.

Sure there is a lot of things to consider. That is why I bringing it up to the discussion of a community.
Psy Trance needs a home=))))

Your opinions Please ,

BooM.

  • That sounds like a brilliant idea!! That is something definitely lacking here in the States, and now is the time to do it! i'm up for ideas on locations, though I can't be of too much help as I have spent most of the last 7 years between South Africa and Colombia. Shasta area is amazing, and would serve the already established scene of N. Cal/ W. Coast. I have a bit of land on the Pacific coast of Colombia where I am developing an off the grid eco-hostel, and would love to get a psychedelic scene set up there as well. Though the psy scene in Colombia is well small, the South America scene in general is pumping, and people normally come from all around to hit festies. Let me know the thoughts.

    Boom~
